Posting a job

Tell us what needs doing in your own words. The more detail the better: what’s wrong, where it is, and anything that might help, like access or pets.

Add a photo or two. Photos help get your price right and save a trip.

Pick when suits you, add your address, and send it. We’ll let you know when your price is ready.

How is my price worked out?

Experienced workers look at your job, your photos and what’s involved, and we turn that into one fair, fixed price.

You see that price before anyone turns up. If you accept it, that’s what you pay. If the job turns out to need more, you’ll see photos and the extra cost first, and nothing extra happens unless you say yes.

Why is my price different from a quote I got?

Our price is fixed and covers the whole job as described, including labour and the materials needed. Some quotes are estimates that can change once work starts. Ours doesn’t change unless you agree to extra work.

Accepting or saying no

Happy with the price? Accept it and pay to book. Not happy? Say no. It costs nothing and there’s no follow-up pressure.

Who will do my job?

A local worker who’s been checked. For licensed work like electrical, plumbing and gas, we check their licence before they can take the job. For other work, workers join with photo ID and are rated by customers. You’ll see their name, photo and rating once they’ve taken your job.

What if the job needs more work?

Sometimes a job turns out bigger than it looked. Your worker sends photos and details of the extra work, and you see the extra cost. Nothing extra happens unless you say yes, and you only pay for it if you do.

Checking and signing off the job

When the work’s done, your worker adds photos. Have a look and confirm it’s all good. If we don’t hear from you within 48 hours, the job is signed off automatically. Something not right? Report it before then and the sign-off pauses.

Something’s not right

Report a problem from your job page. This pauses the automatic sign-off so nothing is finalised while we sort it.

Tell us what happened and add photos. The office reviews it and gets back to you, usually within one working day.
